Holocaust Remembrance Day Observed
Recently, the middle school observed its Holocaust Remembrance Day, under the direction of the 8th grade team leaders. All students from each eighth grade team had the opportunity to meet with special guests who visited our school to help commemorate the occasion. Dr. Paul Winkler, Executive Director of the New Jersey Commission on Holocaust Education, shared wisdom during his presentation to students from each team. Also, young adult author and Holocaust survivor Mr. Fred Spiegel also visited with each team, recounting his own experiences which helped broaden our students’ understanding of the Holocaust.
